Meeting Listings Improved and Updated
There have been many requests to the IAC-AA to improve its Meeting Listing System on this website, and we are pleased to announce that a new Meeting Management Module has been added to update this website easily, and also to provide a printed Directory, as we did in years past. The new Directory will be a duplicate of what is available Online.
The new Listings all have a "Listing ID" in the upper right-hand corner. This ID is used as a unique identifier for the Meeting Listing. If you need to email us about a particular listing, please refer to this ID number in your correspondence.
Many of the listings we are currently showing are what we refer to as "Legacy" meetings, that is, they were brought forward from an older website. The older listings contain a "Legacy Meeting Data" box with the information we are trying to update.
We now intend to do an annual mailing to make sure our listings are kept up to date. In March of 2009, a mailout of our Newsletter, and a printed Meeting Update Form was sent out by U.S. Mail to each listing in the online Directory. As we receive responses back from the Groups, our Secretary will be updating the data in the listings, and eventually removing those listings for which there was no verification.
It is our goal to have listings that are as accurate as possible. We encourage you to browse our listings for your favorite groups, and let us know if a listing needs updating. Please email meetings@iac-aa.org with this information. You may also wish to contact the IAC-AA.org webmaster if you have any questions about the recent website improvements.
We also encourage you to support IAC-AA in its efforts to keep our website functional and up-to-date!
Thank you, —IAC Executive Committee and IAC Webmaster.
Roundup Listings
The IAC-AA.org lists Roundups as a service to visitors of the IAC-AA.org website. Posting on the site is not an endorsement by IAC-AA of any roundup or conference listing. IAC-AA.org strictly adheres to the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous, therefore Roundups posted this site must be by AA, for AA and about AA.
If you don’t see one of your favorite Roundups listed, please contact them and ask them to submit a listing using our Roundup Listing Form.
